You know him as the vampy star of “Twilight,” but Robert Pattinson has a few other projects going on that you may not have heard of. One of them is the indie flick “How to Be,” available on IFC Direct starting April 29.

In the film he plays Art, a guy who doesn’t really fit in (imagine that!) and is looking for his place in the world. Art is stuck in a rut and enlists an elderly self-help guru to guide him down the road of life. Pattinson sat down for an exclusive interview and gave us the inside scoop on singing live in the movie and how he relates to this dysfunctional character.

We’re taking you behind the scenes of the filming of ‘How to Be,’ and sharing a clip!

The film tells the story of Art, played by Rob, who is an aspiring singer-songwriter who has just been dumped and moves back home to live with his parents. He uses his inheritance to hire a therapist from Canada to come to England and be his “life coach.”

The role draws upon Rob’s real-life love of music, and he even contributed three songs to the film’s soundtrack.

Let’s say that today you were beginning eight weeks of vacations, what would you do?
Rob: I want to travel! I’m gonna try to look for jobs in different countries. I think I will be working in Paris for three months at the beginning of the next year.

For what project?
Rob: I don’t know if I can say it… fuck it. It’s an adaption of Bel-Ami by Guy de Maupassant. Now that I said it to you, I can telling it to everyone. Also I’m fed up of what people say to me “you only do the Twilight movies, you aren’t anything more than a shooting star”. I refuse! (Laughs).

I heard that you read about yourself a lot on the net, how often do you google your name?
Rob: Oh, you read it in the GQ interview, right? It was a joke dude. It sounded like a loser and I said it, it was funny.

The last thing that has come to me is that someone in the set has said that, literally, you stink, that you smell badly.
Rob: (laughs) Yes I read it too! The funny thing is that these always come from “anonymous sources”. I must smell really bad because the set is 25 kilometres away from my hotel and I haven’t even gone out of the room.

As I first reported earlier this week, they shot more theatre scenes last night for New Moon with Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Anna Kendrick.
Didn’t realise Anna Kendrick was so little. Kristen is about 5 ft 4. No more. She towers over Anna. There’s a frame or two among these of director Chris Weitz and Michael Welch is in town for this too.
Oh and one more thing – Michael Arangano, Kristen’s boyfriend, was still in town as of yesterday. He’s come to visit a couple of times on set.
